A Day in the life
This week was an averagely productive week. I took some good photos overlooking town at night from the top of Smelter, and spent all week putting together the panorama and edited still photo. As I've progressed through my portfolio I have found myself actively looking at the weather, lighting and clouds each day when I wake up. With only three more projects left to add to my portfolio, I want to be really conscious about the lighting and weather during the shoots. I meant to get another photo shoot this week to be completely caught up but couldn't find the time/right conditions. During the break, I will definitely get one and hopefully two more shoots in. I'm excited to see what the weather does - so far my portfolio has shots of sunset, sunrise, and nighttime, and a cool snowy photo (or two) looking down on Durango would be a nice addition. As I edited my photoshoot from Smelter this week I have begun to really dial in the process. First, I take the raw photo to Photoshop and adjust the brightness. I then save the image, open it in LR, proceed to edit the rest of the photo there. I really like messing around with the lighting curves and the de-haze function. Only one photo shoot behind though, and I'm feeling good about my progress. Also, for my still photo this week, I decided to choose an editing style that made the photo look like a painting (edited in LR).
