A Day in the life
This week was kind of a weird week in Open Studio. I could not get my photos uploaded to Weebly due to a combination of 1) Not taking my photos until Tuesday night 2) Forgetting my camera on Wednesday 3) Card reader not working on computer on Thursday 4) Was not in class Friday Definitely a hectic week. My camera is still currently at home as I'm going to take week 4 photos tonight. Life has been crazy, and I can't wait until my last few college applications are in and I start budgeting my time better so I can go on some cool hikes and get follow through with my portfolio. I will reevaluate my initial portfolio schedule at the end of this week to see how plausible going on all the hikes I planned will be. If not, I may have to change my portfolio into just a general "Panorama" portfolio. This week I did get a better sense of how I was going to present my portfolio though, and I have attached a proposed sketch of what I will print for each shoot. With no photos printed and matted yet I'm feeling a little bit of stress, but I think taking the time to get quality photos and just matting them like I've always done is better than stressing to get very creative with my matting. As the semester progresses though, I will keep looking for and brainstorming the best way to matt/present my final portfolio. Whew, one step at a time. My first idea for how I'm going to lay out my photos in my final portfolio presentation, with the panorama from the top on the right and a smaller landscape photo on the left. A custom nameplate (this one says Lion's Den) will go on the top of each photo.
